Election Day is in 22 Days

Election Day is just 22 days away. And no, that’s not a typo. 

Holding the liberal majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court until 2028 depends on electing Judge Susan Crawford on April 1, and you can take action by joining us to make calls into Wisconsin every Monday – including tonight.

While this is critical for Wisconsinites, there are national implications of this race: It’s the first election of 2025 and the first electoral check on Donald Trump.

That’s why Elon Musk is pouring millions of dollars into this race, in support of Crawford’s anti-choice, anti-democracy, anti-labor conservative opponent, who told voters he’ll be Trump’s “support network.”

Without a liberal majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court committed to protecting democracy and the rule of law, Republicans are likely to gerrymander congressional districts and strip away voting rights, giving Republicans an easier path to winning elections in this critical swing state.

Since JDCA helped flip the Wisconsin Supreme Court to a liberal majority in 2023, the Court has restored voting rights, rejected Republican gerrymandered legislative maps, protected abortion rights, and is on the verge of restoring protections for workers.

Now, the balance of the court is in jeopardy again. While Wisconsin Supreme Court election rules do not allow candidates to run as Democrats or Republicans, the positions of the two candidates are clear. If we lose this seat, Republicans will have a chance to roll back our historic gains, erode democracy, and dismantle abortion rights in Wisconsin.

Winning this election is critical to protecting our rights and our democracy from Trump’s attacks, not only in Wisconsin but across the country. It’s also a great way to tell Donald Trump he does NOT have a mandate to erode our democracy and rights.
